About Me

I grew up in Chicago, IL and I have taught high school math in Chicago Public Schools since 2012. I attended Messiah College (Bachelor of Arts in Mathematics & French with Teaching Certification) and Michigan State University (Master of Arts in Educational Technology). I also volunteered in Kigali, Rwanda for one year where I taught English at a vocational school.
When I'm not at school, I enjoy:
  • Traveling and/or camping with friends
  • Playing Ultimate Frisbee
  • Learning languages (Swahili is the current one)
  • Playing cards or strategy board games (Spades, Dominion)
  • Volunteering
At my school, I enjoy:
  • Math tutoring (~4x/week)
  • Exploring new tasks & methods for teaching concepts
  • Serving on the Instructional Leadership Team
  • Creating BAG (behavior, attendance, grades) reports
  • "Deputy of Logistics" tasks (my unofficial title at school)
